The Kia Soul has long been one of the most popular vehicles here at Jake Sweeney Kia, and after reading all of the news from the Los Angeles Auto Show, Kia drivers have good reason to be excited for the future. The brand unveiled a number of exciting new vehicles, including a future-facing take on the popular model: the 2020 Kia Soul EV.
A state-of-the-art liquid-cooled lithium ion polymer 64 kWh battery will hold a longer charge than previous Kia Soul EV models. The 2020 Kia Soul EV will also feature standard Combined Charging System (CCS) DC fast-charge, allowing drivers to “top up” quickly and get back on the road. The Kia engineers have equipped this upcoming EV with smart regenerative braking, operated via the paddle shifters. This will capture kinetic energy as the car slows, providing extra range.
2020 Kia Soul EV Drivers will enjoy 201 horsepower and 291 lb.-ft. of torque, along with better handling and driving dynamics than ever before thanks to a new independent rear suspension. Four different driving modes—Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Eco+—will allow drivers to set their preferred balance between performance and efficiency.
In addition to these performance-focused features, the 2020 Kia Soul EV will sport a series of “Kia Drive Wise” Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems. Forward Collision Warning and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist help keep an eye on the road ahead and react to it accordingly. Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist do the same on the highway.
But what if you’re in the market for a great new car now, not sometime next year? The 2019 Kia Soul is a great choice, and just one of many excellent new Kia vehicles available here at our dealership in Florence, KY.
